This is What a Feminist Looks Like

What we learned from our global Women’s March on January 21 is that feminists come in all designs!

While some fathers brought their daughters to the inaugural parade for Trump-the-pussy-grabber “because it’s a tradition” [lame], others bolstered their young daughters to march with women for women’s issues and everything that satellites around women’s issues. Here is one of my favorites, Dan and Alana. Alana wanted to join the march with her mom and close adult female friends, but was worried about the bully girls at her school. So, Dan asked if she’d like him to march with her. This is the beautiful, supportive result of Feminist Dad.

Alana & Dan, Women's March

For all the “it doesn’t matter” people, it is today very clear why YOUR VOTE MATTERS! In large part, Donald Trump and his confederacy of billionaire fools and generals have made suffering worse, Nature more vulnerable, and demoted the general welfare. Read again the preamble to our Constitution:

We the People of the United States,
in order to form a more perfect Union,
establish justice,
insure domestic tranquility,
provide for the common defense,
promote the general welfare,
and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity,
do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
preamble-to-the-constitution

We vote to maintain this perspective in the USA. Yet, this is what the right wing is trying to neutralize, the general welfare of all American citizens. We also extend most of these rights and privileges to our guests. But, we are looking at seriously deviant times today. I heard someone on public radio compare our first Trump days with the “I Love Lucy” episode where the chocolate came so fast and furious that they had no time to deal with each individual piece. Chocolates were piling up, stuffed, scattered, and flung everywhere. Funny!, if it weren’t so close to our political situation. Eighteen edicts in 14 days!! Yikes, not so funny. And as the gentleman on the radio said, “only, this isn’t chocolate.”

How does the rest of the world see us? Gevalt!!, worse than the Bush years by far. Here’s Der Spiegel, Germany’s Time Magazine equivalent: ouch…der-spiegel

This is why we vote! As of this posting, Trump hasn’t even filled his cabinet and so far we have an anti-public education Secretary of Education, looks like it will be a racist for Attorney General, an oil man for Secretary of the Interior. The list goes on like a bad acid trip!

THIS IS WHY WE VOTE!!

Hey KELLY SLATER, world class surfer and author of irresponsible article on why you do NOT vote, now what do you think of voting? Everything about surfing is about the environment. Who is going to be in charge of the EPA?; oh, yeah, a guy who has spent big $$$ on abolishing environmental regulations so he can rape the earth with abandon. Who is going to be in charge of the health of our natural resources that end up in the ocean?; oh yeah, an oil guy who can’t wait to shoot all the pesky Indians who dare to try to stop the Dakota Access Pipeline that travels through ancestral land and under the Missouri River, a main vein of our living, breathing, America. (Secretary of the Interior oversees open space, national parks, Indian affairs, more.) I CHALLENGE KELLY SLATER TO START A VOTING CAMPAIGN AMONGST SURFERS! Also, I hold accountable Inertia, online surf magazine for printing his boast and Surfrider for posting it, especially without even a note from the editor.

It was less than 3 weeks ago that “grabbing pussy” was our worst problem. Hah! It seems so tame now.

When you are exhausted and fresh out of facts and witticisms for the lower resonating humanoids, when it all seems too much, let a T-shirt say it for you.

Never underestimate the treasures to be found at a secondhand store!
