If we are serious about going Green, then let’s minimize our petroleum use at every opportunity. Reducing (eliminating) plastic bags is not new, it’s Retro Fashion!

In 1852 we went from cloth (hemp, because of durability and low cost) to paper bags. And not until 1957 did we go to plastic bags. 60,000 plastic bags are used in the US every five seconds: www.handsonhemp.com/history-bags/plastic-paper-bags#sthash.4LSvgN4d.dpuf.

KEEP THEM CLEAN! WASH AND DRY OFTEN!

Every purchase you make, the way you perceive the world to be, all of it can be your personal Zero Carbon Footprint fashion statement. It is fashionable to be part of the solution! So you might as well Fight the Good Fight while looking fabulous, dahling. And looking fabulous can be from resale at a fraction of its original cost or harvested free from Mama’s closet. There is every environmental and human rights reason to Not Buy New. (see February 6, 2014 post)

If the Costco pic looks like a repeat, it’s because the entire Hallowe’en sales gimmick is a repeat.
