Stand Up and Speak Out, even when it’s scary

It is fashionable to have a political opinion and to speak out. It is your personal responsibility, even when you are not the personality type to do so. There are a few things I have learned over the years that make this duty a little smoother.
First, have an educated opinion based in fact, and always with The Greater Good in mind.
Second, always wear your power clothes.
POWER CLOTHES! The sexiest thing a person can wear is CONFIDENCE. You can win your debates in a civilized, 1940’s movie star fashion when you are draped in CONFIDENCE. No one was more CONFIDENT than Katharine Hepburn, Barbara Stanwyck, Ingrid Bergman, Lauren Bacall. There were others, but these four women are not remembered for their expensive wardrobes, but for their CONFIDENCE.
No need to purchase new, expensive attire made in sweat shops with heavy chemicals. No need to purchase new leather when you can find superior leather products in a resale store.
A pegged skirt is what the gals in Mad Men wore, tight at the hips and tapered to the knees.
We have lost our spokesman for the times, Jon Stewart; our Will Rogers of the 21st century. But, we can all follow his sage advice from his final show. He reminded us that we can all smell bullshit; so “When you smell something, say something!” It is fashionable to Stand Up and Speak Out! and easier when we’re wearing our power clothes!
